Little Chelsea is sick. Chelsea is our sweetheart with cleft lip and palate. She is in the hospital right now with aspiration pneumonia and the doctors said she also needs a blood transfusion.
Three more of our girls are in the hospital right now with infection and sepsis. Eleanor, Margaret, and another sweetheart who I can't remember her name. Learning 21 names in one day is boggling my tiny brain right now! I started the day yesterday making rounds to the hospitals where the kids are and then went on over to the home to meet the new kids. I found out yesterday that some of the new children came to us with a form of MRSA - highly contagious and difficult to deal with. Especially difficult when they are all so weak and malnourished to begin with. I want to share the plan for the next few weeks with you so that you know how to pray.
Tomorrow I am meeting with a handful of volunteers who came to plant a church in a nearby village. There is one nurse and 2 paramedics on that team. I asked if they would pray about coming to help me get the kids started on the World Health Organization program for severely malnourished children. It involves daily injections, a specialized diet and supplements by mouth. It involves treatments 4 times a day so it's an all day, every day task for 2 weeks. Please pray for my health and stamina - and for my right hand blessing straight from heaven Cassie who is also here helping. I am at peace knowing that my God is so great and that the same Holy Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead, also lives in me and brings health to my body! And please pray for wisdom. In all that I do, I need the wisdom of God to guide and direct me because on my own, I have no training in these areas and no idea what I'm doing!
Having this apartment/foster home set up now for the weakest children is more important than ever, BUT I just don't have the time to go shopping to get all that I need. It looks like it will be a few weeks as priority right now is getting the (now) 24 new kids stabilized on the WHO program. Please pray for favor that the funds will all come in for that foster home and that it will go smoothly to get it established.
Other urgent prayer needs:
~ A full time translator to help with training of staff and nurses.
~ An honest and trustworthy Indian assistant who can help run errands and take care of needs specifically for us.
~ 5-6 Nurses with good skills and a heart to serve the children.
~ At least 10 new Ayah's (caregivers) in good health and who also have a heart to serve these children.
~ Long term missionaries who can partner with us to give this hands on care.
And please pray for Sarah. She left yesterday to go to Hyderabad to await the birth of her babies. She is a beautiful 32 weeks pregnant right now and she's been fighting recent illness of her own. I am praying for full health for her and the babies in her womb!
Well. I've left you with a lot of prayer requests haven't I? I sure wish you guys could all meet these children. They are overwhelmingly beautiful. They all have little bald heads right now because their infections were spreading to their scalps but even with their little bald heads, they are a reflection of the beauty of our God. You would love them. If I can ever get my hands free and a moment to take pictures, I will share them with you. Thank you to Cassie who took the two of me and Chelsea above.
Signing out with my hands and heart full.
Love to you all!

I am honestly amazed. I don't know how you do it. I know it is through God , but really Erin you are amazing! So inspiring. Praying for you! Love you!
